Mission
Saint Edmond’s Academy is a community of families, educators, and partners inspired by the values of the Gospel. In the Holy Cross tradition, we are committed to the education of boys from grades K-8. Incorporating contemporary thought with individualized instruction, a challenging 21st century curriculum, and a focus on the core values of heart, mind, hope, zeal, and family, Saint Edmond’s Academy develops boys of character in a community of faith.

History
Reverend Jacques Dujarie organized the Brothers of Holy Cross, originally called the Brothers of Saint Joseph, as a teaching community in 1820 France. In 1837, Blessed Basil Moreau associated these Brothers with a society of auxiliary priests to establish the Congregation of Holy Cross, a religious community of priests and brothers. After the establishment of the University of Notre Dame in 1842, the Brothers founded additional schools across the country, adding to other Holy Cross schools in Europe and throughout the world.

Core Values
As a Catholic school, rooted in the traditions of Holy Cross education, we are dedicated to empowering our students with values for life. From a young age, students develop an understanding of five core values distilled from the writings of Blessed Basil Moreau- heart, mind, hope, zeal, and family. Students learn to respect themselves and those around them, embracing the likeness and differences of all.

🌎 As part of our Holy Cross identity, Saint Edmond’s Academy is dedicated to building an inclusive community that celebrates each individual’s uniqueness and cultural diversity.
Teachers bring in speakers from different countries to enrich our students` experiences! Recently, our 6th-grade World Culture class had the honor of welcoming Carlos A.’s uncle, Jayson Yelbert, from Ghana, who shared stories about his country and introduced the boys to jollof rice! 🇬🇭
In 5th grade, Nicolas and Sebastian W.’s mother, Ali Williams, and their grandfather, Sr. Juan Jose Cano Carus, visited from Mexico, giving the boys a chance to practice Spanish and enjoy a round of Lotería. 🇲🇽
And in Spanish class, 2nd and 5th graders had the chance to try "mate", a traditional Argentinian drink from yerba mate leaves, sipped from a hollow gourd. Sra. Vasko, from Argentina herself was excited to see their reactions. Let’s just say there were lots of different opinions! 😊😆

Our Kindergarteners had a very special visitor today! Dr. Massey, an Air Force veteran and infectious disease pharmacist, joined us to share his incredible story. 🇺🇸 He served our country stateside and overseas for 6 years, including deployments to Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Korea. Dr. Massey read *I’ll Lend You My Daddy*, let the boys try on uniforms, and presented each one with a challenge coin. We’re so grateful for his service and for the memories he helped create today! ❤️🤍💙 #VeteransDay #HonoringOurHeroes #GratefulHeart #SEAcommunity #littlelancers #lancersforlife

Today, our 4th grade boys honored Veterans Day by exploring an interactive infographic activity! 📝 They used clues around the room to learn about the significance of service and why we commemorate this day. Such an inspiring way to teach the importance of honoring those who have served. 🇺🇸 #VeteransDay #LearningThroughPlay #HonorAndRespect”

Thank you to all our veterans and their families for their service to our country. 🇺🇸
With gratitude, The Saint Edmond’s Academy Community.

One of the highlights of 1st grade at SEA is our annual Coke + Mentos experiment! Last Friday, after learning about inquiry skills, the students compared the number of Mentos dropped in each bottle with the size of the reaction. The sunny weather made it the perfect day for science fun—teachers and helpers may or may not have gotten splashed in the process! 😂🥤🌞 #ScienceInAction #FirstGradeFun #SaintEdmondsAcademy #SEA #lancersforlife

Today, our lower form students got a hands-on lesson about the electoral process, how to cast a vote, and the importance of this civic right! 🗳️ They voted on essential topics, like which color playdough to buy next (blue won!), if they preferred cats or dogs (dogs, of course!), and what movie they should watch as a class reward. 🐾🎬
Thank you to our amazing teachers for making civics education both fun and memorable for our young Lancers! 🎉

Proud to welcome our newest upper form Lancers! These young men are stepping up with commitment and character, ready to represent the SEA community in their red blazers. Check for pictures in our Facebook page!!
